Yaroslav Shemet
Shemet is a conductor recognised for his orchestra-building leadership and insightful, architecturally expressive interpretations. He serves as the Artistic Director of the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice and the General Music Director of the Baltic State Opera in Gdańsk, making him the youngest director in the history of both institutions. From 2020 to 2022, he was Principal Guest Conductor of the Neue Philharmonie Hamburg, and in the 2020/2021 season he held the position of Chief Conductor of the INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Lviv. In the 2023/2024 season, he received nominations for several prestigious awards, including the International Opera Awards (Rising Star category), the Polityka Passports and the Fryderyk Award.
Shemet commands an exceptionally broad symphonic repertoire, encompassing the core Austro-German tradition as well as Central and Eastern European music and contemporary works.

Description
The ship of a Norwegian captain, Daland, enters the harbour. The seaman is returning home empty-handed but with an extraordinary adventure under his belt. While at sea, his ship was approached by a vessel manned by a mysterious crew of pale sailors who asked Daland to take their letters. In unexplained circumstances, Darland also met a man who introduced himself as Dutchman. Having struck a deal with him to buy diamonds at a bargain price, Daland decided to give his beautiful daughter, Senta, to the Dutchman in marriage. The girl is already obsessed with the legendary Flying Dutchman, a ghost ship wandering the seas which brings bad luck to sailors. It turns out the man whom Daland promised his daughter’s hand is the captain of the cursed vessel. He cannot find relief in death until he meets a faithful and loyal woman. Senta decides to bring him salvation. Sadly, the Dutchman is a dead man walking and marrying him is possible only through death. When the Dutchman’s ship enters heavy fog, the girl throws herself down a cliff, thus freeing her beloved from the life he despises.

Sayaka Haruna-Kondracka
She studied at the Codarts University for the Arts. During the “Dance & Age” program, she had the opportunity to work with Jiří Kylián, Michael Schumacher, and Sabine Kupferberg. In the same year, she completed internships with the Dance Works Rotterdam and Introdans companies. In the 2011/2012 season, she performed with the Cinevoux Junior Company. She has been associated with the Baltic Opera since 2012.
Since 2018, together with Bartosz Kondracki, she has been creating original productions, including Below Sea Level, Carousel, My Fault, Imago, Ego, and Encounter. In 2019, they assisted Izabela Sokołowska-Boulton in creating the choreography for the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet. In 2022, they were responsible for the choreography and stage movement for the opera King Roger by Karol Szymanowski, followed by Rigoletto in 2023 and La Bohème in 2024.

Bartosz Kondracki
He graduated from the Wyższa Szkoła Umiejętności with a degree in Dance. He won numerous titles and awards at the Polish, European, and World Championships. From 2007 to 2008, he was a dancer with the Kielecki Teatr Tańca. He has been associated with the Baltic Opera since 2009.

Filip Michalak
Graduate of the Ballet School in Gdańsk. After completing his studies, he began working at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, and in 1999 he joined the Baltic Opera, where he debuted as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.
In 2012, he received the Nagroda Miasta Gdańska dla Młodych Twórców w Dziedzinie Kultury, and in 2022 he was awarded the Nagroda Teatralna Marszałka Województwa Pomorskiego for his outstanding acting technique and vibrant stage energy in the performance of Don Quixote.

Agnieszka Wojciechowska
Graduate of the Ballet School in Warsaw. After obtaining her professional dancer’s diploma, she continued her education at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie – Codarts. She has been associated with the Baltic Opera since 2008, where from 2010 to 2016 she was a soloist of the Baltic Dance Theatre. She performed, among others, in productions by Izadora Weiss, Emil Wesołowski, Jacek Przybyłowicz, and Jiří Kylián.

From the SOPOT Railway Station:
from the bus stop Sopot PKP 01, ZKM Gdynia bus line 144 towards Osiedle Mickiewicza, 3 stops, get off at the Herberta 01 bus stop, then walk about 10 minutes;
from the Sopot PKP - Marynarzy 01 bus stop, ZTM Gdańsk bus line 143 and line 117 towards Sanatorium "Leśnik", 4 stops, get off at the Sopot 22 Marca 02 bus stop, then walk about 10 minutes;
from the P3 stop from Plac Konstytucji 3 Maja (Bohaterów Monte Cassino street) by electric vehicle towards P4 Forest Opera;
from the Sopot Railway Station, the walk to the Forest Opera takes about 20 minutes (the distance is 1.5 km).

the car park is located at Moniuszki Street, approx. 5 minutes' walk from the entrance to the facility.
