An evening named after prof. Tadeusz Krzeszowiak

A multimedia music-vocal-dance project based on Franz Schubert’s song cycle Winterreise (Winter Journey), set to the poetry of Wilhelm Müller, accompanied by the poetry of Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński (1921–1944) — an outstanding poet and participant in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.

The festival production of Richard Strauss’s Salome tells a story of loneliness and the fate of its main character — a teenage girl raised by a morally dubious mother and her consort, King Herod. The narrative is set against the backdrop of the long-standing religious and social conflict of the Middle East.

An opera inspired by "Europa Europa" by Sally Perel and Agnieszka Holland

The production depicts the creation process of a contemporary art exhibition entitled “The Extermination of the Medusas.” The protagonist is the Curator, for whom the exhibits and accompanying events become a vehicle back to ancient times.

The First-Ever Staged Interpretation of St. Luke Passion by Krzysztof Penderecki

St. Luke Passion is a monumental vocal-instrumental work by Krzysztof Penderecki, composed in 1966 to commemorate the millennium of Poland’s Christianization. The composition is based on texts from the Gospel of St. Luke, as well as excerpts from liturgical writings and Latin Passion hymns.

Staged performance of a Kashubian song cycle

The Kashubian language is a complete rarity when it comes to classical music. It is the language we hear in the cycle of songs Wòlô Bòskô for baritone and piano by contemporary composer Łukasz Godyla drawing on a selection of Kashubian texts and traditional melodies made by singer Damian Wilma, a native of the region fascinated by its culture.
