Description
One of the most brilliant comic operas in history returns to the stage in a unique performance prepared by Young Artists. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's masterpiece, with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, captivates not only with its masterful music but also with its intelligent humor and intrigue-filled story of love, jealousy, and social conventions.
The production is a collaboration between the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the Janina Jarzynówna-Sobczak High School of Ballet in Gdańsk, and the Baltic Opera.
Vocalists from the Vocal and Acting Department of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk will perform, accompanied by the Sinfonia Gedania orchestra under the baton of Michał Krężlewski.
The visuals for the performance are being created by students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, bringing a fresh perspective and contemporary artistic sensitivity to the staging. Choreography performed by students of the Janina Jarzynówna-Sobczak Ballet School in Gdańsk will also be a key element of the performance, enriching the staged events with a dance dimension.
This unique artistic endeavor combines music, theater, dance, and visual arts, providing a space for young artists from various disciplines to meet. This version of The Marriage of Figaro is not only a classical opera, but also a vibrant dialogue between tradition and the energy of a new generation of artists.
